Acupuncture in Eugene Oregon with Dana LaVoie, LAc
Ready to feel better? I can't wait to get started...
The experience of having an Acupuncture treatment varies a lot depending on the practitioner and the style of Acupuncture used. I offer Acupuncture treatments at my office in Eugene, OR.
I like to get the maximum results with the minimum number of acupuncture needles, and it's a requirement for me that you feel comfortable and relaxed during your treatment.
I've studied and practiced multiple styles of Acupuncture over the years, and now use primarily Master Tung's style of Acupuncture, because I find it give the fastest, most long-lasting results the most quickly - and is the most relaxing and uses the fewest number of needles. I also, however, draw on other styles when appropriate such as trigger point therapy, extraordinary meridian therapy, TCM, and special techniques that support IVF treatments. Neuropathy relief during chemo
After starting a course of chemo.. I experienced a return of the severe electric, burning pain I had in my legs during my last round of chemo. It's so bad it goes up my legs all the way to my thighs. I am unsteady on my feet and can't drive.
After 1 acupuncture treatment with Dana, my pain was reduced by 60-70%. I felt much better overall and was able to rest and sit still.

A few weeks ago I treated a 12 year old. He was so darn nervous about the Acupuncture needle.. he was trying to be incredibly brave but every muscle was stiff as a board. When I put in the first needle, he burst out in a huge peal of laughter - because he was so relieved. He said, "THAT WAS IT??!!" I said - yup. And his whole body relaxed. People usually doze off during Acupuncture treatments, because it's so relaxing. There might be a slight prick for a second at the very beginning - but seriously - it's as one of my patients said "way, way less than a mosquito bite" and often you don't even feel the needle AT ALL. You see, the Acupuncture needle is about the width of a human hair. It's so thin and flexible that if you touch it from the side with your finger... it just bends. It bends so easily you don't even feel it against your finger - IT'S TINY. So no - it really doesn't hurt. And my philosophy is that you'll get the best results from acupuncture if you're relaxed.. so we wont' do anything that makes you uncomfortable - we just wont. So go ahead, give it a try.

Acupuncture with Dana
Acupuncture treatment from Dana is amazing. There is no pain, only relaxation and enjoyment to follow. I don't think there is anything Dana can’t help or fix
I‘ve only seen my chiropractor once in the last several months and I used to go weekly or several times per week.
I’ve noticed I no longer need to see my chiropractor or get massage since I’ve been getting weekly acupuncture treatments with Dana. Even though we’re working on hormonal issues, there must be something about acupuncture that helps my chronic hip pain. I‘ve only seen my chiropractor once in the last several months and I used to go weekly or several times per week. I also used to get massage every other week and don’t feel the need (or have the time) for it.
